Happy Birthday Bekka- it must be funny celebrating in the warm, and so far, away, but we are thinking of you all day- we tried to call but missed you. I am sure this year is going to cause you to grow like 10 years here , but that is good! YOu will be 34 when you come home- just like travelling to Betelgeuse and back!

Aw thanks Johan - I miss you guys too! Give my love to everyone back at the office - I thought of you all yesterday when I had to get a malaria test and did, indeed, ask to hold the woman's hand. Even here, I'm pathetic. And what I wouldn't give for doctors and MAs like we have at home at the hospital here... they have three doctors and five assistants, and they are one of the best in the area, serving thousands of people a year - did I mention 1/4 of the time it's without water? Anyway, I miss you all!
